Job Description

The role is to start ASAP and will be for the full academic year, paying up to £85 per day, with the potential of a permanent contract.To join us and be successful in this Inclusion Co-Ordinator role, you will need to:*Have experience of working in a school inclusion unit*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained*Have the legal right to work in the UKThe RoleThis OFSTED Good secondary academy is looking for an Inclusion Co-Ordinator who can provide a calm and safe learning environment for students that have been removed from mainstream lessons. You will be required to co-ordinate and manage the schools internal exclusion room, maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour in accordance with the school policy. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role and be able to effectively liaise with SLT and other teaching staff.You will be working with students across KS3 and KS4, who have been sent to the Inclusion Unit in school, when all other behaviour strategies have been exhausted. You will need to build good relationships with students; explain the reasons for the sanctions; ensure appropriate work is completed; take responsibility for learning activities; develop restorative practices to modify and improve behaviour and reinforce high levels of self esteem. Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management, broad curriculum knowledge, be a role model to students and be aware of child protection procedures.The SchoolWe are recruiting for an Inclusion Co-Ordinator, on behalf of a large secondary academy, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old.
