Job Description

  • Raising purchase orders, customer packaging / label orders (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to our suppliers
  • Monitoring and maintaining the critical path.
Client DetailsA well-known Importer who have been trading for over 30 years. The company supply to Fashion retailers out of their London and Manchester offices. The business has their own brands and supply some of the biggest fashion retailers in the UK.Description
  • Liaising daily the clients, suppliers, factories and customers.
  • Raising purchase orders, customer packaging / label orders (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to our suppliers
  • Monitoring and maintaining the critical path.
  • You will be responsible for chasing in lab dips, print strike offs, bulk fabric and sample submissions ( sealer samples /pre-production samples / production samples / press samples)
  • Liaising with the shipping and sales / deliveries department, ensuring that goods arrive are processed and are delivered on time
  • Full meeting follow up will be required, from quoting prices to arranging development samples.
  • Working closely with the QC and design teams.
  • Providing team leadership, problem solving and guidance for junior merchandisers of the team.
Profile
  • An excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and e-mail applications is required.
  • Be an organised individual who is eager to learn and progress within the industry.
  • Someone with a detailed eye and likes to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ideally have 3 plus years experience as an import merchandiser / Account Manager within fashion
  • Highly desirable experience with liaising with factories in China, Bangladesh and India
