Job Description

LIMITED.Job Title: HVAC SupervisorLocation: Covering North West / Staffordshire / North WalesSalary: £44,673Benefits: Company Vehicle (car or van), company pension scheme, up to £1,500 annual bonus, private medical, death in service, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) Hours: 40 hours a week - Monday to FridayOur client is one of the UK’s fastest growing independent unquoted businesses, with a turnover approaching £400m and employing over 14,000 people.The company is a leading provider of facilities management and building maintenance services to multisite operations, with its major client being ASDA’ whom they have recently signed another 10 year Facilities Management contract with.Our client employs an innovative business model to partner with clients and provides a one-stop service, and they are now looking for a dynamic HVAC Supervisor to lead a Regional team of HVAC Engineers.This role will cover all of the North West, Cumbria Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, as well as North Wales and Staffordshire (just down to Stoke-on-Trent).Job Purpose:

  • To maintain and repair all HVAC plant and equipment in ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid down company Health & Safety
  • To investigate repeat faults, customer complaints, verify that PPM’s & gas works including all certificates have been completed correctly for all of the HVAC team within the region
  • To deal and support HVAC engineers with technical problems
  • Co-ordinate PPM, callout, absence, holiday schedules and monitor sub-contractor performance
  • To approve parts purchase while staying within the budgets
  • Deal with escalated HVAC calls within the area.
  • Support Divisional and Regional managers, with HVAC issues, sub-contractor and project issues.
  • You will be Supervising a team of between 8-10 HVAC Engineers within your region.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all retail sites are covered for HVAC Maintenance Services, including reactive and PPM
  • Provide Technical Support and coaching to your HVAC Engineers
  • To provide cover for HVAC Engineers at stores if required
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process of HVAC Engineer vacancies within your region
  • Ensure under performance on KPI’s is understood and action plans are in place to drive improvement
  • Complete specified reports and compliance documentation and take action on any issues raised
  • Regularly communicate with the customer on all HVAC / FM activity
  • Provide cover for Divisional Account Manager during times of absence holidays and meetings
  • Support the Divisional Account Manager during on all technical, people and HVAC process issues
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and company processes
  • Candidates Background & Experience:
  • Qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer who has experience across multi-sites on the service and maintenance of heating systems.
  • NVQ Level 3 - Commercial and Industrial Gas, Building Services / Heat & Vent
  • ACS Gas - COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1, TPCP1A
  • NVQ Level 3 - Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1 (desirable but not essential)
  • City & Guilds 5831 Electrical Safe Isolation (desirable but not essential)
  • City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition (desirable but not essential)
  • Positive in approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment, but above all be committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service.
  • Experience of leading a team of Engineers in a multi-site environment
  • Dealing directly with customers and on-site management teams
  • Ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces
  • A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to your work
  • Full Driving Licence and a high degree of mobility to travel throughout the area
