Job Description

HSE Manager We are looking to hire a ESH Manager / HSE Manager to plan, coordinate and control all ESH activities for the UK production plant of a Global manufacturer for the automotive, industrial and MRO sectors. We are seeking an ambitious individual with a proven background in ESH within a production or manufacturing environment and an understanding of continuous improvement of HSE processes.   • Manage and coordinate all ESH activities, whilst contributing to strategic and operative planning for the UK plant.
  • Ensure the achievement of Environmental, Security and Health and Safety targets according to internal and external expectations.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Represent the UK plant at negotiations with responsible authorities concerning any ESH topics.
  • Prepare, review and manage ESH budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement external (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001) and internal standards and legal requirements.
  • Check compliance with legal and internal regulations and implement measures.
  • Execute workshops and coaching of employees.
The candidate
  • Our ideal candidate will have a proven, successful background in an ESH / HSE Management or leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • You will be eager to learn and progress with the desire to expand to other areas such as Quality Management.
  • Experience of implementing and managing security systems, fire prevention and protection systems, health management, environmental protection, occupational safety and hazardous substance management is crucial for this position.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications should include NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent bodies.
