Job Description

Job; HR & Payroll Coordinator - Remote/ManchesterThis successful ecommerce company with a strong UK & US customer base is currently recruiting for a full-time member of staff to join their HR & Payroll team. The role is split between working from their central Manchester offices and your home.Split between Human Resources & Payroll functions, duties are varied & include;Payroll;

  • Monthly UK payroll. Collating on call rota, gym/wellbeing receipts, time-sheets, KPIs, salary increase, new starters, leavers, bonuses, overtime, sick leave, pension changes, bonus schemes, deductions.
  • Liaise with external payroll company, check for any inconsistencies or errors.
Managing all stages of the recruitment process;
  • Job requisition - working with the hiring manager to understand their requirements, description of the role, business need and bench-marking salaries.
  • Liaising with recruiters if applicable.
  • Post and advertise vacancies on various job boards and/or company website.
  • Review CVs and first round shortlist.
  • Application and offer processes, create formal offer letters, employment contracts, check references.
Onboarding;
  • Check right to work documents.
  • Organise creation of signing of contracts.
  • Begin visa sponsorship process (if necessary).
  • Collect personal details for HMRC/payroll and set up employee profile/accounts.
Employee enquiries from pre-start date to post-leave date;
  • PRE: terms of contract, timings, office, dress code, tech.
  • DURING: payroll, benefits, annual leave, sickness, appointments, rota, complaints, grievances, feedback, suggestions, contracts, recruitment, tenant references.
  • POST: references, payroll, contracts, P45/11Ds etc, benefits.
Absence management;
  • Logging & reporting absences to managers
  • Supporting employees with sickness/longer term absences.
  • Manage sick pay accordingly.
Coordinating employee benefits;
  • Researching and implementing new benefits to improve staff retention.
  • Approving/denying benefit scheme requests based on salary and outstanding loans/benefits.
  • Deal with employee queries relating to healthcare plans.
  • Administration of health care plans
  • Coordinating health/wellbeing reimbursements with payroll monthly
Offboarding;
  • Acknowledging employee resignations & supporting managers with leavers
  • Calculate pro-rata holidays, sick leave and any outstanding loans/benefits.
  • Update Payroll and issue P45s/record of employment etc.
US and UK legislation;
  • Employment law

Other Stuff;
  • £s; fully DoE up to approx. £33k (neg.)

  • Location; 2 days per week in their Manchester city centre offices, 3 days per week based from your home,
