Job Description

Experienced HR Business Partner looking to join an organisation which makes a real differenceOur NHS SBS business is a joint venture between the Department of Health and Sopra Steria. We provideinnovative finance and accounting, employment and procurement solutions which deliver operational efficiencies, improved service quality and real cost savings for our clients.We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable HR Business Partner to join our IT and Patient Services organisation which is predominately based in Leeds. You will join a growing and transformative business where no two days will be the same! The ability to workclosely with business leaders is imperative to understand challenges as well as delivering an outstanding HR service.This position reports to the HR Director and you will join a close-knit team of HR professionals sat across the UK.What you will be doing:

  • To engage with and influence at a strategic level to support the lines of business to achieve their long-term strategy
  • Be a trusted partner to the business, providing coaching and feedback to senior leaders
  • Influence and collaborate with HR colleagues in our parent and sister companies on key group wide initiatives and projects
  • Identify HR priorities from corporate and departmental plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objective
  • Play an active role in defining and delivering the organisational people strategy
  • You will manage a small team of HR advisors
  • Lead and advise the business on organisational development and design tools and techniques to shape the business target operating models and approach
  • Work closely with the resourcing and recruitment teams on talent acquisition and mapping requirements for future resource capabilities
  • Design and deliver key HR initiatives across the HR remit, including Organisational change, employee relations, performance management, HR analytics and TUPE
  • Work in partnership with Senior managers to create a learning culture, to develop future capabilities, talent management and succession planning
  • Own the employee engagement agenda with your business, taking an active role in the engagement networks, Great Place to Work initiatives and internal communications
  • Drive the HR agenda forward by finding opportunities for continuous improvements and development
  • Provide advice and guidance to Senior Management Teams and managers on employment matters
What youll bring:
  • Background working within a complex matrix environment
  • This position is working within an IT centric organisation so experience working within IT services, FinTech, corporate environment would be highly beneficial
  • Effective communicator at all levels
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Experience of working in a previous HR Generalist role
  • Flexible and influential approach
It would be great if you had:
  • Organisational Development experience in a fast-paced, high-growth or progressive environment
  • Understanding of the NHS or experience working in a central function
  • People management experience would be beneficial
  • Certificate in Personnel Practice / CIPD
