Job Description

Role: HR AdvisorLocation: ManchesterSalary: £30,000 - £35,000Type: Full time, PermanentDo you pride yourself on your ability to build professional relationships, support colleagues and improve processes Are you looking for autonomy and challenge in your next HR roleConsider the role of HR Adviser.The RoleWe are looking for a Human Resources Adviser to be based in Sheffield City Centre. This is a role that offers a high level of job satisfaction where you will be fully supported by the wider HR and Resourcing Team as you provide business-focussed generalist HR advice, guidance and interventions across the business within a defined geographical area. Duties will primarily focus on the professional areas of Performance & Reward, Employee Relations, Resource and Talent Planning, TUPE processes and litigation and Organisational DesignRequired Skills & Experience

  • Have, or be working towards CIPD qualified status with an up-to-date understanding of employment law.
  • Background of working in a generalist HR environment with some experience of supporting and advising line managers on a range of HR issues such as employee consultations, reorganisations, disciplinaries, grievance and sickness absence proceedings.
  • Experience of creating/updating company policies and procedures, supporting employees in all areas of company compensation and benefits.
  • Experience of supported internal and external recruitment & selection processes (attraction, assessment centres, interviews, testing etc.).
  • Experience of working in a fast paced commercial environment that is subject to regular change.
  • Experience of providing people focussed interventions that support the delivery of business objectives without compromising the Company’s HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail whether that be employee data, contractual issues and employee relations matters.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and reporting skills, able to provide detailed and high level reports weekly
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage
