Job Description

Coach and guide managers through HR policies, change and case workAs a HR Advisor, you will report to a HR Business Partner and provide proactive support across the HR team and wider business.Primarily responsible for managing employee relations casework, you will use your strong employment law knowledge to coach and guide managers and key stakeholders through HR policies and ER case work while strengthening relationships across the organisation.In addition, you will support the HR Business Partners during organisational change programmes and other change projects whilst also coaching and upskilling line managers to develop their people management capability. You will also support on ad hoc administrativetasks whilst the business transitions to a more automated processing mechanism.What youll be doingEmployee Relations (advice and casework) Managing a caseload by leading on individual ER cases including disciplinary, capability, grievances, sickness review meetings, attendance management, probation review, and any other meetings in accordance with BPPs procedures and policies. Supporting the HR Business Partners on more complex employee relations casework. Work with HR Business Partners to coach and educate line managers, influence key stakeholders and provide all-round people management advice and solutionsChange Management Proactively support the HR Business Partners with the management of operational restructures and organisational change programmes.Policies and Procedures Contribute to the development and streamlining of HR processes and procedures and supporting documentation to ensure the continuous improvement and development of the HR function and its service offering.Learning & Development Under the guidance of the HR Business Partners and T&L, support the delivery of individual or group training sessions on HR procedures, policies, and employment lawOperational Support in the production of employment contracts for new starters, and the gathering and filing of new starter documentation. Strong stakeholder management experience and extensive experience of providing high quality advice to managers and employees Proven change management experience Experience of designing and/or delivering training workshops to managers on HR related topics. A proactive, professional and methodical approach to work along with the ability to influence and build effective business relationships Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight individual and group deadlines A strong understanding of the principles of effective employee relations, and the ability to problem solve Proven consultation and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner Ability to undertake independent routine research Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. CIPD qualified or equivalent or working towards achieving this qualification.The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Basic DBS checkBusiness Travel - Whilst based at the Manchester St James Building, the HR Advisor may need to spend time at other BPP locations (UK wide) in order to support managers with casework meetings, consultation meetings and coaching/training.The successful candidate must be willing and able to undertake business travel, sometimes at short notice to BPP sites nationwide.Sound like the perfect fitApply today.
