Job Description

Are you a support worker or project worker seeking a new opportunity, making a difference in peoples livesFlexible hours positions available all across Greater Manchester!We are seeking candidates with experience supporting people suffering with alcohol or substance addiction and homelessness.This experience could include homelessness, mental health, tenancy sustainment, mother and baby, addiction, benefits advice, and supporting ex-offenders.Our client has several sites all over Greater Manchester and Lancashire, where you will be working with people in supported accommodation that require support with a range of needs such as tenancy sustainment, seeking employment, overcoming addiction.The role is flexible in terms of the amount of hours that you would like to work. This is not a permanent contract, however we have plenty of hours available for you to pick from!OBJECTIVES OF ROLE* To provide support to service users with individual needs and independent living skills* To work as part of a dedicated team to ensure high quality standards are met* To maintain the safety and well being of service users, colleagues, and guests of the accommodationDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deal with safeguarding issues in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate action is taken place in line with company procedures* Give assistance or guidance to service users. Supporting them to develop their own independent living skills and follow the conditions* Reporting any concerns around the service users welfare in line with company procedures* To manage visitor access and ensure security of the premises* Domestic duties in communal areas of properties* Dealing with emergency situations in an effective manner, contacting the emergency services, seeking necessary support, following protocol* Attend team meetings and take part in training courses* Prepare food for service users on occasions when the cook is absentCRITERIA* 6 Months experience working in a similar support setting* Experience and awareness of safeguarding* Basic IT skills and competent in using Microsoft Office applications* Comfortable with housekeeping, cleaning and basic food preparation* To be able to provide 3 years reference history
