Job Description

HousekeeperBand 2 - £10.37/hr - Monday to Friday 07.30-15.302-month temporary placement through NHSP Bank.Do you have Housekeeping or Cleaning experience Have you got the desire and drive to help with the essential functions of your local hospitalWould you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other Would you like to work in a Trust that recently had good in their CQC report This location is easily accessible by public transport and has onsite parking.If you answered yes, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust would love to hear from you.We have a temporary vacancy for a Housekeeper at North Manchester General Hospital. You will need to be able to work the early breakfast/lunch shift.Duties will include:

  • Overseeing that place settings and culinary services satisfy the requirements and standards of patients, visitors, and the ward staff.
  • Contribute to the running of all patient facilities and services in the ward, providing a tidy and secure environment and a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Emptying bins and replenishing hand towel, toilet roll & soap dispensers.
  • General ward cleaning duties.
  • Cleaning toilets, kitchen area, offices, waiting room and reception.
  • Talking to and reassuring patients and directing and receiving visitors.
They are looking for someone who has:
  • Cleaning experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Reliable
  • High standard of personal hygiene
  • Ability to be on feet for whole shift with some bending and stretching involved
