Horticulture Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Based between Manchester & StokeSalary: £24,000Vacancy type: PermanentAdditional Benefits: Company Van, Uniform and Pension.Hours: 40 hrs per weekOur Client is the UKs leading living wall company, with projects across the country. They are recruiting for extra staff to join their Maintenance team. This is a hands-on, customer centric position and candidates need to be flexible, physically fit, hard-working, and have a strong can-do attitude.About the JobThis is an interesting, varied, and exciting opportunity to join a busy team in a rapidly expanding company. As a member of their frontline maintenance team you will be travelling throughout the Midlands and north of England maintaining Living Walls - both external and internal. A clean, full UK driving license is essential, and staying away from home overnight will be required on some occasions.The role includes irrigation calibration, plant pruning and replacement, and treatment of pest and diseases. The living walls are up to 30m high, so being comfortable with working at height is a must. Horticultural experience is essential, and IPAF, PASMA, and PA1 & PA6 certification is preferred, although training can be provided.Our client wants someone who is hard-working, has a can-do attitude, and happy working to strict deadlines.Flexibility with some early starts and self-management is also needed. The role is hands on and can include lifting/moving items safely.
