You will lead and manage a newly formed Security Operations capability within the CISO team to provide a coordinated suite of integrated functions to identify, prevent, monitor and respond to threats against colleagues and the Aldermore estate.Based in our dynamic Manchester office, you will sit amongst a wide team and report to the Chief Information Security Officer.What would your day look like

  • Ownership for the continuous improvement of Security Operations, improving and building effectiveness and efficiency across the Aldermore Group.
  • Liaison with Information Security to optimise the use of cyber security tools to protect the Bank and therefore our customers and systems from cyber-attacks and security incidents.
  • Manage and monitor relevant threat intelligence feeds - assess, analyse, act and disseminate relevant intelligence rapidly to appropriate business stakeholders.
  • Deliver a single view of Aldermores exposure to exploits and associated risk - establishment of a Security Operations dashboard.
  • On-boarding of new security solutions with a view to migrating them to our Managed Service Provider (MSP) with the correct Standard Operating Procedures being in place.
    • What do we expect of you
  • Demonstrable experience in a Security Operations Head of or Manager role, leading risk identification and remediation activities.
  • Solid understanding of security concepts and principles, including network, application and information security.
  • Strong in-depth and operational knowledge across a broad range of security controls, including but not limited to: firewalls, WAFs, EDR, proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Good communicator, able to work with varying stakeholders.
  • Certified Information Systems and Security Professional (CISSP) SSCP, CISA certification (or similar) desired but not mandatory - passion for cyber security is more important!
