My client is a leading Insurer seeking a Head of Risk to support the Risk Director with oversight of the Governance and Risk Framework.The role will involve, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, monitored and reported across the GroupProvide support in relation to issues and risks associated with Solvency II process.Assisting with the oversight of the Risk function including supervision of other team membersEnsure that the firms target operating model is combined with best practise enterprise risk managementDefine and deliver the Group risk framework across all areas of the businessProvide specialist Risk Management guidance leading to the identification and assessment of risks and risk controls across the business, required to meet strategic goals.Carry out analysis of Risks and Controls, identifying trends, threats and opportunities.Lead on training, consultation, engagement and management of risk awareness across the Group.Monitoring Board approved Risk Appetite and ensuring that tolerances are adhered to by management.Regular review of the Risk Management Programmes to ensure adherence to the Risk Framework.Attend Group companies Audit & Risk Committees and act as deputy for the Risk DirectorThe ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of FCA rules, regulations, principles and codes of practice and expert knowledge of Solvency II requirementsUp-to-date knowledge of trends in the insurance industry relevant to Risk Management and Corporate Governance requirements.
