Job Description

Our client is a leading EdTech company and are in search of a hard-working, fun-loving Head of Product.Head of Product - Manchester (2 days in office, 3 flexible) - EdTech - Up to £90,000The Head of Product will play a vital role in driving the product strategy and vision. Reporting directly to the CEO, they will lead a team of two Product Managers and a Customer Service Lead, with responsibility for shaping the end-to-end customer experienceacross their EdTech platform. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to transform business vision into a clear product roadmap / implementation.What type of person are they looking for

Key Responsibilities:Product Leadership: Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the product team, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and vision.Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of two Product Managers and a Customer Service Lead, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and innovation in the online education space.End-to-End Customer Experience: Take ownership of the entire customer journey on platform, from user onboarding and engagement to assessment and feedback, ensuring a seamless and highly effective learning experience.Process Optimization: Implement best-in-class processes and methodologies to enhance product development, launch, and ongoing maintenance activities for online learning solutions.
  • Own planning tools and release planning to deliver incremental value.
  • Maintain the health of the backlog through continuous refinement and prioritisation.
  • Work in an agile environment and embrace DevOps within a small internal team and an external team.
  • Establish and owns measurement objectives, with continuous review and improvements to measurement capability, whilst providing advice and guidance for effective use of measures to drive product evolution.
Product Roadmap: Define the next 2-year mission and longer-term vision for the company to enable the team to build leading digital Ed tech products and services. Translate macro business vision into a clear, actionable product roadmap, outlining key milestones,features, and deliverables to further enhance their offerings.Market Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and user feedback to inform product decisions and strategies in the online education space.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Content and Finance to ensure alignment and successful product launches and campaigns.Qualifications
  • Proven track record in product leadership roles within a B2C, app-based business
  • Experience in start-ups or SMEs, with proven delivery of bringing new products to market. 7
  • 5 years of experience in building and being part of high-performing teams.
  • Experience in the Ed Tech industry is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a bias for action, particularly in the context of online education.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product plans for an online learning platform.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
