Job Description

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading provider of in telecommunications and new technologies in their hire of a Head of Planning to overlook their dynamic Planning Team.My client is a market leader in implementing and providing infrastructure services across the energy and telecoms industry. We are seeking a capable candidate to act as Head of Planning and join the team working on telecommunications and advertising projectswith major national clients.We are seeking an ideally MRTPI qualified Planner with extensive management experience in telecoms. You will have excellent IT and data skills, financial awareness, outstanding communication and presentation skills and demonstratable interpersonal skills.The successful candidate will take change of Business Development, improving existing relationships and identifying new opportunities, effectively winning new work. You will be responsible for department progress and financial delivery.Duties of the Role will include

  • Attend and represent the company where requested or necessary, meetings and presentations
  • Ongoing analysis of working practices with a view to improving and finding more efficient solutions
  • Ensuring the team are communicating well internally, all are fully motivated and working toward the same objective
  • Deal with personal issues within Planning team appropriately and discretely, whilst having a basic understanding of HR processes
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that is appropriate for the position requirements, client expectations, Company policies and legislation
  • Practice all relevant Health and Safety requirements as described by the Company H&S Manual and other relevant procedures, policies, regulations and legislation
Key responsibilities of the role will include supervision and management of Planning staff and all planning project inputs. You will assess workloads across departments to ensure individuals remail busy, challenged and supported in attaining MRTPI chartership.You will support RFIs and RFQs and take charge of subcontractor management where necessary. You will work very closely with the Head of Acquisition to ensure project delivery and resourcing.For the ideal candidate my client is happy to offer a competitive remuneration that includes a generous salary and impressive accompanying benefits package.
