Job Description

The Head of Performance Improvement & Controls is responsible for the start-up and development of a process improvement function which will underpin the operations of the UK and the Centre of Excellence.Client DetailsThe client are a global services business with offices in Greater ManchesterDescriptionThe Head of Performance Improvement & Controls will be accountable for:

  • Executing and maintaining a sustainable and scaleable programme of process enhancements, controls improvements and waste elimination initiatives
  • Implementing automation technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Delivering service improvement across UK operations through performance improvement initiatives
  • Delivering best practice performance improvement solutions
  • Tracking delivery and performance of projects and managing corrective action where necessary
  • Alignment of pipeline and workload to ensure consistency with the priorities of the Head of Finance Services, the Delivery Pillar Leads, the governance model and the UK business.
ProfileThe Head of Performance Improvement & Controls should have;
  • Detailed understanding of COSO control frameworks, Sarbanes Oxley or other financial control environments
  • Able to anticipate control weaknesses in processes and propose mitigating controls that add commercial value to the organisation
  • Able to articulate the benefits and risks of automation of a process and experience of introducing technology-driven automation to transactional processes
  • Managed a portfolio of projects and initiatives and delivering or reporting progress to meet the demands of stakeholders and a governance group
  • Established and ran a formal governance programme to support a suite of projects and initiatives
  • Operated within change control management frameworks
  • Excellent working knowledge of processes within Payables, Receivables and General Ledger
