Having recently undertaken a major restructure they are in the process of changing their commercial insurance focus, moving away from high risk, specialist lines and towards more profitable, regional mid-market business.In this key appointment you will spearhead Property business and hold ultimate responsibility for P&L of the book of business throughout the territory, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Your focus will lie with creating a vision, building a strategy and delivering attractive products that deliver profitable results. Wider responsibilities within this remit will include but not be limited to developing and managing underwriting rules and standards within the space, portfolio management and steering, defining and managing underwriting authorities and dealing with high level technical referrals.Critically you must come from a mid-market underwriting background and offer a considerable depth of knowledge in relation to this segment of commercial insurance. Often working in collaboration with actuaries you must possess previous experience of forecasting, descriptive and predictive analytics.
