Job Description

Head of MarketingNorth WestJW Lees, one of the North Wests leading integrated pub and brewery businesses has a unique opportunity for an experienced marketer to drive forward our Marketing Team and play an integral part in the growth of our company that operates across c150 managedand tenanted sites across the North West & North Wales as well as brewing some well-known beer brands and licensed brewing of global partners brands.Proudly family owned and nearly 200 years old, JW Lees are the original modern, traditional brewer.Package:

  • Competitive salary £55,000 to £65,000

Key accountabilities:
  • Day to day management of all aspects of marketing, including liaison with external agencies as well as managing an internal team of five people including brand marketers, social media content creators and an inhouse artworker
  • Ownership of external events, including trade shows, sponsorship events and other external engagements
  • Ownership of external budget of £1m per annum and responsible for on time and on budget delivery of key marketing campaigns
  • Build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Procure and manage external suppliers, ensuring both value for money and high standards
  • Create and maintain a culture of high performance and continuous improvement by successfully managing, leading and inspiriting the Marketing Team
  • Reporting directly into Managing Director
Essential criteria:
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (or equivalent)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills, with the vision and ability to establish crossfunctional relationships
  • Passionate about customer service and understanding changing customer demands
  • Demonstrable record of managing complex end to end campaigns and projects in a multisite environment and across three different core trade channels
  • Proven experience of both digital and traditional marketing techniques
  • Commercially astute with proven commercial negotiating skills, high level influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Previous experience within a hospitality or leisure business would be highly desirable, but not essential.
