Job Description

A fantastic Head Chef job in Manchester paying a salary of £40,000 is available for a Conference & Banqueting Hotel.Due to most of the food offering being produced during the breakfast and daytime hours, this role offers excellent work life balance – with the Head Chef shifts mainly being early/daytime hours.Conference & Banqueting Head Chef job in Manchester, Highlights:

  • Salary of £40,000 per year
  • 40 hours per week
  • Overtime paid in the unlikely event that you can’t take overtime hours back in lieu the following week.
  • The most common shift time of the departing Head Chef was 6:30am to 3pm – but this might be tweaked by you based on the business needs etc.
  • On average, you will tend to be able to take 2 full weekends off per month.
  • Full kitchen team in place – total brigade of 6.

Conference & Banqueting Head Chef job in Manchester, Job Overview: An excellent work life balance isn’t the only benefit of this job. The successful candidate will have the freedom to put their stamp on the food offering, in addition to having the ability to switch suppliers if sensible to do so.While there is an on-site Bar with food offering, this will rarely do more than 10 covers per evening. So, you can focus your efforts on the busy Conference/ Banqueting/ Meeting & Events business which mainly occurs during the daytimes, in addition to thebreakfast offering for the Hotel guests. The Meetings & Events will usually be in buffet/ finger food format and can cater for anything between 20 to 400 delegates daily.Conference & Banqueting Head Chef job in Manchester, Required Experience:
  • It is essential that you have Conference & Banqueting experience (or similar) – such as catering for Meetings & Events on large scale.
  • Candidates at Sous Chef level or higher can be considered for this vacancy.
