Job Description

Slater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm which provides a broad range of specialist legal and complementary services. We are undergoing a huge transformation across all areas of the business, with a focus on people and technology, and our mission is to give people easier access to our world class legal services.We are looking for a Group FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. Here you will partner with the Head of Group FP&A and Group Finance leadership team to manage KPI reporting and support financial planning and analysis with budgeting, forecasting and value-added analysis across the Group. You will also play a key role ensuring the group understand cash flow and improve forecast accuracy.Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the group budget and forecast process; update planning templates; review and challenge assumptions and submissions; support the consolidation of group numbers for management review.
  • Generating reporting and analysis to review budget and forecast submissions and actual performance.
  • Supporting group cash flow forecasting processes to understand the cash cycle and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Managing monthly group KPI reporting including financial and operational KPIs across the different practices. Manage headcount tracking and reporting for the group.
  • Business partner to the Transformation Executive (programme management office) to manage project costs and understand benefits and implications for group.
  • Identify and roll out best practice for financial planning processes across the group.
  • Manage and communicate forecasting timetable and calendar and track and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Create value-adding analysis and shares insights to support delivery of group financial targets.
  • Monitor and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support ad hoc FP&A initiatives such as profitability analysis; working capital and balance sheet analysis.
  • Support long-term financial modelling initiatives.

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Post qualified commercial finance experience
  • Excellent Business partner experience and FP&A experience
  • Strong financial modelling experience
  • Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to own and develop efficient processes
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset.
  • Cash flow and balance sheet management experience
  • Power BI would be desirable.
  • Experience with planning tools such as Anaplan or Tagetik would be beneficial
