We are currently looking for a full-time Graduate Quantity Surveyor Our client is a growing, dynamic property development company based in Manchester. We are looking for a motivated and confident Graduate Quantity Surveyor with some experience in commercialor residential construction. Responsibilities: * Compiling Tender Packages including compiling BofQs * Provide cost, feasibility and quantity surveying advice to Project Managers; * Assist in management and recording of variations and additional works; * Assist with or prepare monthlyapplications; * Measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications; * Assist carrying out take offs; * Identify opportunities to maximise cost/value management; * General duties will include, but are not limitedto; valuations, forecasting, budget control, estimating, change control and final accounts; * Assisting in the Preparation of cost reports; * Reviewing, Analysing and Advising on Tenders; * Managing costs to make sure that the initial budget isnt exceeded.Requirements: * Interesting and diverse project work; * Experience in Commercial units and Housebuilding preferable but not a necessity * Knowledge and skills with using excel and all Microsoft software; * Strong numerical and IT skills, especially MS Excel;* Experience of working as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor on both minor and major projects; * Experience of assisting cost control on construction projects; * Experience in re-measurement of key trades packages; * To be good at working with people at all levelsand willing to work in a team; * Good IT literacy; * Demonstrate the ability to control and monitor costs on construction projects; * Enthusiastic and ambitious; * Capable of working to strict targets and timescales.
