Job Description

Gresham Hunt are partnered with a prestigious global financial institution headquartered in London and New York. They have a fantastic new opening for someone to join the next wave of hires into their expanding Manchester office.This is an entry level opportunity within Operations and will suit a graduate looking for their first role, or someone with one to two years experience looking to move into the financial services sector. You will be trained from scratch to develop the skillsneeded for this vital function.You will work collaboratively with members of the analytical teams, IT and Compliance to ensure that procedures and applications are developed in line with Companys overall business and regulatory requirements.Being part of Operations means you will see the inner workings of the business. You will focus on creating the most efficient operating environment for the analytical teams, by bringing consistency and to all aspects of the process.The team report into the Chief Operating Officer, so the role will suit someone who is excited by the prospect of working side by side with senior level executives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the first point of call for analysts with system related questions and problems.
  • Taking ownership of problems and escorting system users through the workflow.
  • Identifying problems in the current systems, suggest enhancements, suggest relative priority.
  • Testing current system enhancements before release (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Supporting the compliance function with the Companys overall business and regulatory requirements.
  • Creating flowcharts, support documentation, and short videos to support analysts and Middle Office application users.
Requirements:
  • Degree educated in a finance related discipline.
  • Confidence using Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros).
  • Prior experience working within a data or operations focused role.
  • Internship/placement work experience within financial services desirable but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior level stakeholders.
