An nationally recognised consultancy and testing organisation with particular expertise in the air and odour sector has a requirement for a junior air quality consultant to complement their team in Manchester. The oragnisation conducts detailed impact assessmentsand monitoring services for air quality, odour and indoor air quality. With specialist expertise in these areas theyve helped to develop internationally recognised standards and test procedures for the development and evaluation of new mitigation methods.QualificationsMSc/BSc in a relevant Atmospheric Science/ Air PollutionExperienceSelf-motivated, able to learn quickly and to work independently to deadlines.Good communication skillsCommercially aware and team playerAdvanced communication skillsPreferably experience using current atmospheric dispersion modelling packages and GISDutiesMeasurement surveys and reportingAtmospheric dispersion modeling (ADMS Roads, Breeze packages)Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)Liaising with consultants, engineers and architectsWriting high quality reportsConsulting with a variety of external bodies in order to complete air quality reportsConducting desk-based studies to assess local air quality in the vicinity of proposed schemes and developmentsProduce air quality reports and prepare proposalspreparation of inputs for Environmental StatementsConducting air quality impact assessments and monitoring programmesExcel based data manipulationGIS workTechnical report writing.
