Job Description

Geo-Environmental Consultant opportunity has come available for an award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy situated in central Manchester with a national presence that has a project portfolio that boasts some of the UKs most prestigious private development,due diligence, land acquisition and property schemes.As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will have the chance to be office/home based, sitting under the Geo-Environmental office lead but liaising with the internal civil and structural engineers helping to deliver large scale projects.Your main responsibilities for a Geo-Environmental Consultant will include technical, financial and commercial management of Geo-Environmental & Geotechnical projects. You will be designing ground investigations, managing sub-contractors, whilst processingtechnical reports on a ground investigation, interpretation, remedial method statements, GQRA, DQRA, coal mining risk assessment, land appraisals, quotes and tenders.Geo-Environmental Consultant Specification:

  • Degree in Geology or Environmental Science whilst obtaining an MSc.
  • Approaching Chartered Engineer status
  • At least 3 years within a UK Geo-Environmental, contaminated land or Geotechnical consultancy.
  • Extensive experience of Phase I Desk Study and Phase II ground Investigations reporting.
  • Strong interpretive report writing skills on a contaminated land, remedial and/or geotechnical basis.
  • Remedial method statement experience.
  • Exposure to DQRA is beneficial but not essential.
