Job Description

Functional Skills Learning CoachPermanent roleManchester and covering the North WestWe are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor/Learning CoachThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking training provider, who value and appreciate staff, offering excellent prospectsThe purpose of the role is to deliver Functional Skills - English and Mathematics level 2 mainly for the Ministry of Justice contacts in training centres to large groups of learners on a weekly roll on/roll off programme, with 3 days delivery, fourth dayexam prep and exam.DUTIES

  • To Deliver English, Maths in line with customer requirements in group sessions in the centre and one to one
  • To work with a caseloads of learners
  • To understand and agree with employers, learners and each learners starting point and skills development needs
  • Using the companies English and Maths delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner
  • Dealing with learners face to face in the centre in groups, also remotely
  • Review progress
  • Carry out regular caseload reviews
  • Using e-portfolio system
  • Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured
  • Working closely with IQA’s on best practice, development needs, providing sampling
ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLEStrong in mathematics delivery and or qualificationsIn-depth knowledge of specifications for Functional SkillsMust be a car owner/driver - all mileage paidFlexible to travel to the Midlands Branch to cover occasionally and for meetingsBENEFITS;
