Job Description

We are fully FCA regulated, and we are looking to add to our expanding team.About the RoleWe are looking for a Frontend PHP Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering modern technical solutions on a day to day basis. You will be both creative and methodical and take a pragmatic approach to your work. Your will be excellent in WordPress, OOP PHP skills, CSS, jQuery, XML, JSON and API Integration.This is a new role created within the organisation to push our Marketing Agenda to the next level. You will be working exclusively with the Marketing team to help them deliver their Marketing Goals for 2020 and beyond. You will be coming up with new ideas all the time to make processes better.Responsibilities

  • Work exclusively with the marketing team to gather requirements and suggest innovative solutions.
  • Deliver landing pages, upload blog posts, fix errors, improve front end customer journey etc.
  • Collaborate with designed to implement moderns and high conversion pages on multiple websites
  • Be the custodian of all websites and maintain version control.
  • Turn UI/UXdesignes into prototypes, creating excellent interactions from designs
  • Write resuable code and libraries (with matching documentation) to a standard which makes it quick and easy to maintain the code in the future.
  • Integrate multiple APIs (in-house and third party (ies)
  • Optimise applications for maximum spped
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies
  • Influence decision making in the marketing team by explaining technical information, in a way that is appropriate for the audience.
  • A graduate within the stream or a certification in Marketing would be preferred.
  • Expert in PHP/WordPress with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Interface development with HTML5, SCSS, JavaScript (including frameworks like ReactJS, Bootstrap, jQuery, ExtJS).
  • Strong MySQL knowledge, working with large & complex schemas.
  • Knowledge of WebAPI and demonstrable experience of delivering secure REST
  • An interest in web software performance (from micro-optimisations in PHP code, SQL schemas and queries through to progressive web.)
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of Source control eg. Git
