Job Description

Robert Walters are excited to be partnering with an industry leading luxury sportswear brand with offices based in Manchester City Centre. The business itself is on an extremely exciting upward trajectory with current revenues due to reach c£500m withinthe next 3 years. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative team playing a key role in the FP&A function providing financial and analytical support, monthly management reporting, budgeting & forecasting.As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will be at the core of the finance team. Your role will involve transforming large data sets into meaningful outputs, presenting insights in a structured manner, and managing rapidly evolving priorities. Youwill have a comprehensive understanding of key accounting principles and a readiness to go above and beyond. Your proactive nature will drive you to constantly seek opportunities to enhance reporting and analysis within the company.

  • Preparing & presenting well-presented detailed financial and operational data.
  • Creating monthly Board Packs for executive suite and external stakeholders.
  • Generating period sales reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Supporting in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Maintaining and creating financial planning models.
  • Assisting in creating insightful reporting catalogue to support different business units.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to enhance reporting and analysis within the company.
  • Providing commentary on variance analysis and insightful commentary for period end reviews.
  • Identifying financial risks and opportunities, escalating to senior management where necessary.
  • Collaborating with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
What you bring:The ideal FP&A Analyst will bring advanced knowledge of Excel, experience with Power BI (though not essential), and a proactive approach to their work. You should be recently qualified in an ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification. Your ability to present insightsin a structured way, manage rapidly evolving priorities, understand key accounting principles, and your readiness to go above and beyond will set you apart.
  • Recently qualified in an ACA, CIMA, or ACCA
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Experience with Power BI would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives on being fully accountable for their work
  • Experience of presenting insights in a structured way
  • Ability to manage fast changing priorities
  • Broad understanding of key accounting principles
  • Willingness to go above and beyond
