Job Description

Fire Inspector - ManchesterMy client is a specialist property and construction consultancy based in London. They have had on-going success in their Fire Engineering department & now have the facilities to take on a Site Inspector around the Manchester region. The main aim of the role will be to provide advice on both new builds and existing buildings in regard to fire risks in the wider environment.Requirements:

  • Educated to MSc/BSc level in Fire Engineering/Fire Safety or another relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Structural or Chemical Engineering.
  • Project management experience.
  • Up to date with fire safety regulations.
  • UK driving license.
  • Experience within the construction industry.
    • Candidates with experience in façade inspection are favourable.Duties:
  • Model & calculate building systems to understand the risk of fire spread within a building and advise on how to reduce said risks.
  • Include fire safety systems and designs.
  • Recommendation of suitable materials used in existing or prospective buildings.
  • Liaise with clients in relation to project requirements.
  • Keep up to date with current legislation.
