Job Description

This position is for a Financial Reporting Manager in the professional services industry, based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting and will need to possess a strong background inaccounting and finance.Client DetailsOur client is a fast growing PE backed business within the professional services industry. With several hundred employees across the UK, they offer a range of services to a broad spectrum of clients. They are renowned for their commitment to delivering high-qualityservices and maintaining a supportive, inclusive workplace.Description

  • Oversee and manage all financial reporting activities within the company.
  • Post acquisition integration of new businesses.
  • Conversion to IFRS reporting standards.
  • Completion accounts and opening balance sheets.
  • Preparing group consolidated accounts.
  • Ownership of technical reporting, including liaison with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring financial integrity of the statutory accounts.
  • Financial reporting to be presented at board level.
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations and support and implement process improvement.
  • Lead on the annual audit, being the main point of contact between the auditors and the finance team.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting procedures and policies.
  • Provide financial advice to senior management.
  • Mentor and guide finance team members.
ProfileA successful Financial Reporting Manager should have:
  • A qualification in accounting or finance (ACA is preferred)
  • Proven experience in a financial reporting role within the professional services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
