Job Description

The 1st line FCC team is responsible for day-to-day fraud and financial crime risk identification, ownership, management & control. Key responsibilities of the function include:

  • Embedding a supportive risk culture
  • Maintaining an effective control environment by implementing processes and procedures which adhere to policy set by the second line of defence.
  • Providing FCC expertise to drive change, as the Business looks to refine/ improve processes and controls currently impacting customer experience.
  • Delivering key controls through the Financial Crime 1st line teams.
Key responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of dashboards and MI on FCC risk for board and senior management level reporting.
  • Manage content sources, data flows and reporting deadlines for all required reporting, ensuring inputs are submitted on a timely basis.
  • Review and challenge commentary provided by key stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain appropriate governance and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure an efficient flow of information across the organisation.
  • Facilitate the development of new reporting based on evolving stakeholder requirements.
  • Working with Risk Partners, monitor the position of the bank against agreed Key Risk and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage internal information requests from stakeholders.
  • Escalate any control failures highlighted by MI.
  • Coordinate first line of defence FCCC forums, ensuring accurate minutes and actions are produced and distributed on a timely basis.
  • Manage and report progress of actions flowing from governance forums.
  • Provide coaching and development to the Economic Crime Governance and Reporting Analyst.
