Job Description

A newly created opportunity within an acquisitive group organisation offering career progression and exposure to acquisition accounting, implementation of financial systems, controls & processes and ad hoc project work.THE COMPANYThis fast-paced business has increased revenue and expanded its offering significantly through a succession of strategic acquisitions. The business is now poised to start a new acquisition-focused growth phase which will ensure the group further strengthensits position as the leading specialist in its core sectors.THE OPPORTUNITYA new Financial Accountant position has arisen which will involve supporting the Group Finance Director and Financial Controller and managing the finances for newly acquired businesses.Areas of responsibility will include

  • Leading the migration of finance systems for new acquisitions to the Groups Finance system and implementing new financial controls and processes
  • Liaising with Directors of newly acquired businesses to ensure a smooth transition to all aspects of the Groups systems and processes, ensuring a joined-up approach across the business
  • Acquisition accounting and computation of opening balance sheets and adjustments to align to Group accounting policies
  • Driving process and system improvements across new acquisitions, increasing robustness of controls
  • Creating new financial analysis and reporting as required
  • Ad-hoc projects as required by Group Finance Director
As the Group continues to expand this role will develop into a more senior FC / Finance Manager role with full financial management responsibility for a continually expanding group subsidiary - reporting, planning, analysis, controls etc.In return the business offers:

THE PERSONYou will be an experienced Finance professional able to demonstrate:
  • Finalist or Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • A background within either Industry or Chartered Practice (or both), with at least 3 years accounting experience
  • Ambition and career drive
  • Good IT skills, particularly Excel
