Job Description

Financial AccountantSalary: £35,000-£40,000Location: ManchesterDuration: PermanentSellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Financial Accountant for a growing construction company based in Manchester. This profitable company is the UKs leading building envelope provider, specialising in cladding, roofing, glazing and maintenanceacross a variety of different sectors.The company has seen significant growth over the past few years and will now be looking to further advance through organic growth as well as via acquisitions. This role is available at an exciting time and the successful candidate will play a major partin supporting the wider finance function in delivering effective monitoring, reporting, companys capital, and their financial position.General responsibilities include: -

  • Preparation of weekly Cash Flow report.
  • Daily bank reconciliations for all group companies
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet nominal accounts
  • Full month end journal entries - accruals, prepayments, payroll.
  • Preparation of annual budgeting process
  • Calculation of management recharge
  • Calculation of supplier rebates
You will possess good leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business to work collaboratively.If you consider yourself to be a committed, career driven professional who can demonstrate the above experience and who would welcome the stimulus of this commercial finance post then we would be pleased to hear from you.The suitable candidate will have the following:
  • A Part Qualified accountant or studying towards a recognised qualified accountancy body
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel - VLOOK UPS, pivots, etc
  • Strong analytics - able to process date into meaningful information
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Self-starter who can manage workloads
