IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be working with one of our most prestigious clients who are an industry leader in the software sector, supporting them with the recruitment of a Finance Team Lead on a 12-month, fixed term, maternity cover contract tojoin their thriving team in based anywhere in the UK (remotely). The role will pay a competitive base salary and benefitsYou will support the Financial Controller in ensuring that adequate controls, systems and procedures are in place to provide accurate and timely financial reporting, reconciliation and management information to meet accounting, legal and statutory requirements,whilst maintaining maximum customer satisfaction and ensuring that service levels are met or exceeded for all customer requirements.What is expected of the Finance Team Lead

• Responsible for the management and development of the finance team, ensuring that each area meets and exceeds its KPIs and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Ensure that robust billing procedures are in place to meet the month end reporting deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all Group Accounting policies and relevant accounting standards
• Control the reporting and reconciliation of, but not limited to, cash, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepayments, VAT, intercompany accounts and leasing.
• To support the implementation of strategic initiatives linked to our clients corporate objectives in order to ensure continuous improvement and best practice.
• Lead, motivate and organise personnel to adhere to our clients core values and deliver a high level of staff engagement.
• Introduce/maintain high levels of process automation to reduce costs and increase speed & timeliness of transactional processing.
• Ensure all staff are properly trained and have appropriate resources available to be successful in their roles
• To support the Financial Controller to ensure adequate financial controls are in place including compliance with SOX and ensuring that internal and external audit requirements are met.
• Supplier invoices are controlled, processed and paid on time.
• To be responsible for the input of the monthly results into Hyperion, ensuring that they are accurate and submitted on time.
• To produce annual financial accounts and other information for external audit and to ensure minimum statutory requirements are met.
• To be responsible for ensuring adequate financial control within the business, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Responsible for the completion of ad hoc projects and reports.

What we look for in a Finance Team Lead

• Working knowledge of Oracle financials is a plus but not essential
• An excellent track record of successful financial management in large, complex and dynamic businesses, international experience would be useful, but not essential
• Strong PC skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Qualified Accountant with ACA, CIMA or ACCA or equivalent
• Must have a strong customer focus (for internal stakeholders and external customers)
• Delegation skills are required
• Highly numerate & strong analytical skills
