Job Description

A meticulous Finance Officer is sought to join an established finance team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of accounting processes.Client DetailsThe company is a well-regarded educational institution with a sizeable workforce based in vibrant Manchester.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting & finance department.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reports.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities.
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to financial risk management.
ProfileA successful Finance Officer should have:
  • Not for Profit and Charities - Education background desirable.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Ability to commute to Manchester daily.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting and risk management.
