Job Description

Finance ManagerBased: Manchester City Centre - flexible WFH policy 2-3 days a weekSalary: highly dependent on experience. Excellent opportunity to join a growing business offering strong commercial exposure and the chance to be involved in exciting projectsOur client is an exciting, growing SME based in the centre of Manchester. The business operates globally as a group of subsidiaries throughout various industries. They are continuously launching exciting new products and have a 2 year plan to acquire further companies and also enter an IPO agreement - something the successful candidate will be a big part of. This opportunity will be the first Finance Manager for the UK company, working closely with the UK Finance Director, Vice President and also the US business to support continuous growth and future acquisitions.We are looking for a technically strong Accountant with experience within a growing SME. Ideally you will be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or an exceptionally strong QBE with experience within a group business function. You must be ambitious, adaptable, keen to progress and have an interest in being a part of a growing businessRole:

  • Working closely with the Finance Director and Vice President to ensure finances are managed for all subsidiaries and entities within the group
  • Producing full management accounts for all entities including commentary and analysis
  • Involvement in future business acquisitions, external investment and IPO
  • Presenting numbers and accounts to board of Directors
  • Working with the Finance Director to review, change and implement processes internally across finance and other departments
  • Involvement in various ad hoc projects financially
  • Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled , Cash flow forecasting and detailed reporting
  • Responsible for budget process, re-forecasting and presenting information to the board
  • Overseeing production of statutory accounts and dealing with auditors
  • Assisting with credit control, purchase ledger and invoicing when required
  • Opportunity to recruit and manage your own team as the business grows
  • Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACCA OR strong QBE with SME/group experience
  • Ability to work autonomously, ambitious, driven and keen to progress
  • Strong technical finance experience and communication skills at board level
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to influence
