Job Description

Finance Manager (Part-time, 3 days)Manchester City Centre, Oxford RoadUp to £50,000 pro rata - Hybrid, Private health cover, death in service, flex on hoursA role to completely make it your own…and progress.Joining an entrepreneurial business, modern, forward-thinking, and based 2 mins from the St. Peters Square tram stop. An organically growing SME who, up to point, havent required a Finance Manager. They are now at a size and scale where theyre lookingfor an ambitious Finance Manager to come in, on a part-time basis, and drive the management accounts and forward-planning.Having visited the office and chatted at length with the MD and People & Culture Manager, its absolutely clear, this is a phenomenal business to work for in terms of culture, opportunity and development. The offices are slick, open plan and even dog friendly.Its a totally modern operation where you walk in and instantly think, I would love to work here.This is a brand new role in the business intended to increase visibility for the Directors and aid in strategic planning and projects, you will:

  • Implement an MI pack with margins broken down by each project
  • Work directly with the business owner to understand the budgeting process, current business forecasts and total financial outlook for the operation
  • Implement your own working style, ideas and processes
  • You will be supported by a Bookkeeper, but this is a totally hands on role so you be into everything, end-to-end accounting, from processing invoices to full cashflow forecasting, budgeting, PNL analysis, VAT returns and management accounts
  • You will have experience using XERO software
On company culture, they are totally family friendly so will work around you.Ideally theyre looking for you to do 3 days a week, 2 days in the office, 1 day from home, with total flex around core hours. So if you need to do the school run and log back on later in the evening, they are totally flexible.
