This exciting opportunity is with a rapidly expanding e-commerce business operating in the fashion sector. Having formed only a few years ago they have enjoyed phenomenal growth and expect to reach £12m turnover this financial year. Well invested and ledby a team of highly regarded industry experts they have ambitious plans to drive the business forward including a soon to be launched retail offering.They currently rely completely on their external Accountants but as a result of increased growth they are now seeking to bring the book-keeping and management of transactions in house and would like to recruit an experienced Finance & Accounts Manager todo this. This role will require someone able to cope with a high volume of transactions and work in a modern, dynamic growth environment. The key requirements for this vacancy will be:•Maintaining financial records, including invoices, purchase orders, AP&AR•Producing financial statements including cash flow, P&L•Bank reconciliations, resolving any queries or errors•Recording financial transactions, journal entries and GL entries•Clearing down system anomalies, aged creditors etc.•Preparing financial reports and income statements•Balance sheet reconciliations•Processing international payments, currency management etc.•Monitoring expenses and overheads•Processing payroll, preparing VAT turns and HMRC liaison•Reconciling stock with warehouse systems and making provisions•Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations•Preparing information for external accountantsAs this will be their first internal finance appointment a key part of the role will involve developing and improving processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Working closely with their external accountants to manage the transition youwill also have regular interaction with the Directors and senior management. There will also be a element of ad hoc work required to provide financial insights and support decision making. The ideal candidate would have proven bookkeeping and accounting experience,ideally from the distribution/retail or e-commerce sector along with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
