Job Description

  • Permanent position
  • 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our people are thereason clients have been returning year on year for over two decades.About the role:Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Recording accurate financial transactions
  • Maintaining companys ledgers
  • Trial Balance and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of Monthly management accounts
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensuring invoices & purchase orders are processed and sent out accurately and efficiently
  • Credit control
  • Accurately recording payments
  • Processing batch payments
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
  • Prepare payroll figures to be processed by our accountants
  • Cash forecasting
  • Assisting the finance director with year-end, budgeting, and any ad hoc requests
  • Completing quarterly VAT returns and other tax returns
  • Producing reports for senior management
  • General finance duties as required
Training & Progression:On-going training will be provided as the job role requires. We value our team and want to see them progress and develop their skills and career within the organisation. Career progression within our expanding company would be available for proactive individuals.Holidays:
  • 28 days per year
  • After 3 years of continuous service you will receive your birthday off (day off can be taken within 7 days of your birthday)
  • After 5 years of continuous service you will receive a further days holiday
The Ideal Candidate:
  • AAT qualified (MAAT) (Essential)
  • Previous experience with Xero is an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Pension auto-enrolment knowledge is an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular - Outlook, Word, Excel
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared to react quickly to tasks in an efficient way whilst having outstanding attention to detail
