Job Description

Entrepreneurial business based in Manchester City Centre, have a created a new role for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). The role sits within a highly successful business group finance function, but looking after the finances of a number of non-corebusiness units as well as the owners personal investment interests. The role can be based fully remote or on a hybrid basis, but there is a need to be based close to Manchester for face to face meetings.Key responsibilities will include;

  • Reporting of financial and management information
  • Monthly forecasting for the companys regional departments
  • Development of secure processes and procedures
  • Oversight and approval of forecasting and budget setting
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g., Auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organisations such as the inland revenue
  • Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout
  • Assisting with the computation of tax returns and queries
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Supporting with directors personal dealings
Key skills preferred;
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to liaise with board level individuals
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
