Job Description

Robert Half is working closely with a global company based in Manchester to recruit for a Finance Director. Operating from over 60 locations around the world, this market leading business prides itself on its impressive growth, innovation and investment.Reporting to the CFO, this role has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings with the most profitable outcomes. Managing andleading the team through month end, year end and annual budgeting.Day to day you will be responsible for the following;

  • Financial Lead for Business Area - Business Plans, Budgets, Forecasts, Monthly Accounts
  • Monthly, quarterly, annual submissions as part of the standard financial cycle
  • Commercial focus - current profitability by division and new bids, disposals etc
  • Enable decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
  • Root & branch review of how the accounts are pulled together and wholesale changes made to make it effective, and system driven wherever possible.
  • Productivity and output step change.
  • Audit Liaison
  • Preparation of presentations for a variety of meetings / stakeholders as required People management and leadership, developing top talent
  • Working with CFO to push through the Change Management Agenda
To be considered, you must have the following;
  • You will be a qualified accountant with a strong background as a Finance Director
  • You must be either ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified
  • Ability to manage & lead teams efficiently and effectively
  • Proven track record of delivering change management
  • Audit exposure
  • Proactive, energetic
  • You will ideally have SAP experience however this is not essential
