Job Description

Finance Assistant // with AAT study support // Manchester City Centre // £22-24,000We have a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with some experience working in a transactional finance role to broaden their knowledge and experience.If you are looking to gain more exposure in a small finance team this could be just the opportunity youve been looking for.This position will report in to the Financial controller who will gradually coach and develop the Finance Assistant to support with management accounting duties. The more you want to learn, the more you will gain exposure to. The role also comes with studysupport for AAT.Duties to include:

  • Purchase ledger invoice processing
  • Investigation and resolving of esolve supplier invoice queries - liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Updating data on the system and excel
  • Keeping the supplier records up to date, requesting new information when necessary
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Gradually learn to assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts; accruals, prepayments, journals, fixed asset register, building up experience over time
  • Helping to produce reports
  • Assisting the team with other ad-hoc and admin duties where necessary
Experience and skills:
  • Prior experience within a finance team
  • AAT studier
  • Excel skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills and good attention to detail
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • A desire to learn and progress
  • An adaptable manner and willing to help with adhoc duties as needed in a small finance team.
