Job Description

Finance Assistant opportunity within an ethical non-profit organisation offering hybrid working and good benefits in addition to varied responsibilities and career progression.THE COMPANYAn ethical non-profit organisation involved in managing Invested Funds, Property and Assets across the UK. The organisation provides Financial, Administrative and Legal Services to its client from offices in Central Manchester, managing revenue and handlingfinancial administration relating to property and funds. An internal restructure has resulted in the creation of a new Finance Assistant position within the Head Office team.THE OPPORTUNITYJoining the organisation as Finance Assistant you will play a key role in executing a wide range of financial tasks and supporting the Finance Manager with all aspects of monthly and annual accountsAs Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payments and dealing with bank transfers
  • Creating and posting journals
  • Handling ground rent payments and charges
  • Setting up and processing regular bank payments
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with month end reconciliations
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with year-end accounts
  • Ad hoc project work relating to investments, property and assets as required
