Job Description

A fantastic new opportunity as a Finance Assistant based in Manchester City Centre working within a Not-for-Profit organisation. The position is an immediate start on a 6-month temporary role. This role is on an hourly pay rate between £13.00 - £14.00.Client DetailsOur client develops creativity and culture for individuals to flourish in a high quality of cultural experiences within the Not-for-Profit industry. They support activities across the arts, museum, and libraries as well as music and dance.DescriptionThe key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Finance Assistant role
  • Financial transaction processing
  • Raising receivable invoices
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Creating payment files in line with the daily, weekly, monthly finance timetables
  • Contribute to financial returns e.g. VAT return preparation
  • Provide financial information and analysis for internal and external use
  • Maintaining cash book spread sheets
  • Provide technical support and advice on receivable invoices, purchase order management and bank liaison
  • Provide other administrative tasks as necessary
ProfileThe successful candidate must possess the following skill set and experience;
  • Background working as finance assistant, Purchase Ledger
  • Knowledge of using financial accounting systems and MS Excel
  • Ability to investigate financial queries as directed
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically on complex issues
  • Good communication skills, both speaking and in writing
  • Ability to prioritise workload and to enter data accurately
