Field Test Engineer - Lab SafetyLocation: - Hybrid (75% UK Travel, 25% WFH) - Based anywhere in the UKType: Permanent, Full Time Salary: Highly CompetitiveAdditional: Company Car or Allowance, Company Pension (3% Employee 5% Company), Life Assurance, Retail Discount Vouchers, Cycle to Work, Paid time off to Volunteer, Various Personal Wellbeing Initiatives, Professional Development.Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Test Engineer to join a Global Testing Company who will be traveling around the UK (+ Possibly Europe) to conduct specified test programs on client products on-site. Tests will include: leakage current,dielectric, temperature, stability, flammability + more, production of a final evaluation and reports.The Role:• Setup and delivery of specified test programs of client products on-site• Performing testing in accordance with relevant standards, e.g. leakage current testing, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, etc.• Production of a final evaluation and reports detailing project findings with a conclusion.• Attend client design review sessions.• Support sales teams during client visits, conference calls or product review sessions.• Providing project updates to customers and upper management • Development and delivery of test plans. The Person:• Sound knowledge of component-level electronics• Ability to fault find at the component level.• Ability to read / determine applicability of national and international codes / standards for the products being tested.• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.• Experience in the testing of products according to standards such as IEC / EN 61010• Ability to travel up to 75% Nationally around the UK as well as potential European trips.• Physical dexterity to operate equipment and perform other necessary functions.• Experience generation test reports for both customers and management.• The ability to be self-motivated and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
