Field Service EngineerManchester regionsCDS Recruitment and Training Ltd have been asked to source an excellent Field Service Engineer to work for an excellent company that operate with in the UK. The role requires the right to applicants to live in or around the North West, such as Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield. Excellent salary circa £30,000 dependent upon experience with up to 25 % ontop of salary with overtime. Once past probation a call out allowance also can also add circa £5000 Our client are specialists within the industrial safety product sectors such as fire suppression systems. This can include chemical sites, oil and gas related, food and fmcg so the role adds great variety. A critical area mentioned for this role is a background in field maintenance. Our client are really looking to talk to electrically biased maintenance candidates who have previously worked as a Field Service Engineer. We would very much like to talk to fieldservice engineers who have had worked in areas such as cleanroom environments or in water treatment plant or even power stations. Essential * Educated to at least GCSE level in English language and Maths. * Proficient in MS Office software - Word, Excel, Access & Outlook. * Field maintenance experience. * Analytical mind-set to diagnose and rectify problems with electronic/mechanical equipment. * Professional demeanour and appearance. * Calm, diplomatic personality; sometimes there is pressure to get equipment working quickly. * High degree of personal organisation, requirement to organise own diary. * Able to work professionally without supervision. * Able to work at heights. * Physically fit, can be a physically demanding role. * Personable character, able to integrate with a small dynamic, professional team. * Ability to work emergency cover at short notice. * Ability to be on an emergency call rota - potentially once every 4-5 weekends once qualified. * Full car driving licence - preferably clean. * Space for small home office and broadband connection. Preferable * HNC (or equivalent) qualification in a suitable discipline (electrical or electronics). * Multi-skilled background - electrical, mechanical, controls. * C&G 2330 (or 2365) parts 2 & 3. * Knowledge / experience of ATEX zoning. * CompEx trained.Key Tasks: * Adhere to the Quality, H&S and Sales & Marketing Plans. * Contact sites to arrange routine service visits. * Provide emergency and on-going maintenance cover for Explosion Suppression systems on various customer locations as required. * Complete paperwork and ensure all files and data are kept up to date for the site. * Ensure Customer Service Database is kept up to date Training will be provided with an on-going bespoke basis. All field service engineers will have an initial period by shadowing existing engineers. First aid, asbestos awareness, IPAF, CCNGS/CSCS, CompEx, PASMA etc. + 18th Edition
