This would suit someone in the lab who is seeking to progress into a field service role or an experienced service engineer who wants to progress their career at a leading manufacturer.. A leading Scientific company is seeking a service engineer in the North West to work across their range of analytical systems.Scope of roleInstall, validate, maintain and repair Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems across the Midlands. Within a reasonable distance of Manchester or Liverpool would be ideal. This would initially be on HPLC & LCMS systems as well as further training on their broader range of analytical systems in the longer team.Field Service EngineerEnsure that all equipment preventative maintenance work in the defined region is scheduledand performed in a timely and efficient fashion and in keeping with customer expectations.Manage the FSE car stock to correct levels for first time fix Promote service contracts and instrument products in the region.Support the area sales representative to generate leads for new business.Answer customer queries, received by whatever means, in a timely and accurate manner.The person:Ideally you will have plenty of troubleshooting experience from your time within the lab on HPLC or LCMSDegree/HND/HNC or equivalent is preferred.Any further experience on GC, GCMS or other analytical techniques would be advantageous but not essentialBased with good access to a major city or town in the region and happy to travel throughout the regionPackage:Competitive salary & excellent bonusCompany Car, Laptop, Mobile, Pension, Private Health
