Our client is the World leader in the manufacture of machinery in their chosen specilaist sector, with more than 700 machines in operation in more than 130 countries worldwide.The company, with more than 40 years experience in this specialist field, is present throughout Europe, the Americas, Africa, The Middle East and The Far East with a dedicated network of owned local Branches and numerous representative Agents.We are now looking for an Exports Shipping Clerk to join the team in there Trafford Park location your role will involve handling worldwide shipping by sourcing the most cost-effective shipping methods for the business. This will be by Sea, Trailer and Air. You will be ensuring the shipments are sent complete, with compliant documentation and within the given timescales.Role duties:* Generate shipment documentation* Negotiate best possible shipping rates with Shipping lines/Airlines and Freight Forwarders* Liase with Chamber of Commerce regarding production of letters of credit when required * Produce packing lists, Eur 1, declarations for shipments and Invoices* Generate daily manifests for Courier collections.* Book courier collections through TNT, DHL and UPS* Negotiate the best possible rates and book shipments for air, land and sea shipments from a portfolio of suppliers.* Track and investigate delayed shipments.* Communicating with internal and external Customers by phone, email and faxSkills and Experience* Experience working as an Export Shipping Clerk from a Shipping/freight forwarder back ground* Good knowledge of Export Documentation and Export Regulations* Excellent Customer Service Skills* Competent using Microsoft office, particularly Excel* Good knowledge of exports documentationBenefits Package Salary £23,000Yearly bonus paid in MayContributory Pension 25 Days Holiday Hrs - Mon - Thurs - 8am - 4.45pm Fri 8am - 3.30pm Required skills
