Job Description

Job DescriptionOur Client are right at the heart of Manchesters global Genomics Campus, a Biotechnology business focused on the prediction and prevention of disease.Their team has grown significantly since its incorporation with over 70 members of the team across its research, operational, service delivery and back-office departments. The Executive Team have reached the point now where they need an Assistant to delegate key organisational, administrative and project management tasks. We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic and experienced candidate who shares in our Clients culture of inclusivity, teamwork and a can-do attitude.Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Administrative and Organisational support for the Snr Exec Team (SET)
  • o Completing general admin tasks for the SETo Organise and maintain diaries booking travel and hotel arrangements where requiredo Supporting the SET in completion of projects, presentations & pitcheso Organise formal and informal meetings - arrange facilities, co-ordinate diaries, distribute papers and agendao Take formal minutes at board meetings and distribute
  • General incl. Office Admin:
  • o Maintain internal HR & Client confidential fileso Organise and plan company events both internal and externalo Cover absence for other essential admin taskso Keep statutory documentation and policies up to date and in line with all requirementso Upkeep of communal areas and supplies (e.g. office, kitchen and meeting rooms)o Work as part of the team to ensure a safe and efficient working environmento Coach and mentor junior staff to ensure continuous development, may be requiredo Take an active part in your personal development and ensure that your knowledge, skills and competencies enable you to carry out your role at the companyo Actively contribute towards the company culture and provide ideas on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes within the companyo Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities, as reasonably requested, by the companyo Reception duties
  • Welcome all visitors
  • Organise and chaperon where required
  • Project Work:
  • o Lead and Co-Ordinate on Ad-Hoc Projects - for example:
  • Marketing Material & Websites
  • Quality Management with Internal Systems & Processes
  • Bespoke Client Engagements
  • Supplier Vetting
  • Abilities, Skills & Experience
  • At least 3 years senior administrative & or PA experience with a good degree of responsibility within an SME environment
  • Experience in a Biotech / Pharma or Services business preferable
  • Excellent written & numeracy skills
  • Outstanding communication skills working directly with colleagues at all levels & Snr Execs
  • Intellectually Agile
