Job Description

Portfolio are proud to be exclusively representing our award-wining, multinational HR & Employment Law services client in their search for a enthusiastic Events individual to add to their team!Youll be joining the team at a very exciting time for the business as we grow from strength to strength. The successful candidate will be one with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do, solutions drivenapproach.OverviewTo effectively manage and take full ownership of seminars and events programme in the UK to maximise new business and close opportunities. To be responsible for the planning, delivery and post-event results of over 600+ events per year.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the effective management of all seminars and events that maximise new business opportunities for the company.
  • To take full ownership of the event programme including planning, mapping future events, overseeing ongoing current programme and introduction/development of new types of events.
  • Analysis of each event (quality of delegates, overall registrations, daily execution, performance etc) with a full understanding of all data and reporting.
  • Develop strong collaborative working relationships with the Business Development Managers, Regional managers, Business Sales Team and Floor managers to ensure that events and seminars are ran to their full potential and that every opportunity is exhausted.
  • Management of the events team employees including overseeing the workflow of the team, assigning tasks, projects and activities.
  • Working with internal comms, PR and Marketing to promote the events
  • Writing and proof-reading any marketing copy and literature related to Seminars/Events.
  • Working with internal and external teams to produce quality event collateral.
  • Have full knowledge and maintain reliable and accurate management information on all seminars and events (including revenue generation, seminars held and attendees)
  • To develop strong working relationship with our head office teams.
  • To provide reports to and attend the Sales Ops team meeting as and when required.
  • To attend the quarterly sales conference and other meetings in Manchester as and when required.
  • To carry out other task deemed necessary by the Management Team.
What you bring to the team
  • Experience of managing successful seminars or events for new business acquisition.
  • Able to motivate, lead and coach a small team of people
  • Able to work effectively within fast-paced, dynamic environment meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills
  • Working with CRM systems
