Job Description

PHSO are looking for an interim Events Manager to conceptualise, manage and deliver their large annual staff conference with a view to putting together next years events programme.Client DetailsThe Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) is an independent national service. They make fair and final decisions on complaints about the NHS in England, UK Government departments and some other public organisations. PHSOs are at the forefrontof stamping out social injustice and changing lives for the better. Their investigations lead to widespread improvements in public services and give people a voice when they feel they have not been treated fairly. Currently going through an exciting period of growth, the organisation is looking to create an even more vibrant working environment and welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgroundsDescriptionThe interim Events Manager will be responsible for:

  • Designing, planning and delivering events for employees and external stakeholders
  • Designing effective and engaging event programmes
  • Creating a concept for the event and designing the agenda
  • Leading cross-organisational teams to project manage events
  • Sourcing and engaging suppliers
  • Evaluating events to make sure they are effective and improve how we deliver future events
ProfileThe successful candidate will possess:
  • Strong event and project management skills
  • A strong understanding of event production best practice and trends
  • A good understanding of best practice around event accessibility
  • A proven track record of designing & conceptualising events & their agendas
  • Demonstrable experience managing a cross-departmental project team
Job OfferThe interim Events Manager will benefit from:
  • Full autonomy to shape the role
  • Up to £37K or the equivalent day rate
  • Hybrid working (min 2 days per week in Manchester)
